Missed Appointments

In the month of April 2025 59 appointments were missed at this practice This equates to 13½ hours wasted time. Please let your GP practice or clinic know if you no longer need your appointment so someone else can use it. We have introduced an appointment reminder system which also allows patients to cancel their appointments and this seems to have had a positive impact on our did not attend rates. We thank our patients that are using this service.

Friends & Family Test

Bowel Cancer Screening Month

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month Join us in raising awareness of bowel cancer and bowel cancer screening Everyone aged 50 - 74 will be sent an NHS bowel cancer screening kit every 2 years

DID NOT ATTEND POLICY

Every missed appointment costs the NHS money. If you are unable to attend an appointment it is vital you contact the surgery to cancel the appointment to make it available for another patient. If you fail to attend an appointment, or the GP surgery is notified less than 30 minutes before the appointment time, this will be registered as a DNA or did not attend/failed to attend. Cancellations notified with less than 30 minutes warning will lead to an appointment slot not being used and a waste of GP resources.

Abuse is not in a days work

NHS South Yorkshire are supporting health and care staff across the region to stop aggressive and abusive behaviour from patients and members of the public under a zero-tolerance approach and public campaign backed by South Yorkshire Police called #NotInADaysWork.
